The 2006 José Luís Balcazar Open for novice fencers at The Point Fencing club took place on Saturday, January 28th, 2006. The next tournament is an Open tournament at CAAFC on Sunday 29th of January. Epee registration closes at 9:00am, foil at 11:30am, and sabre at 1:3opm. More information can be found at the schedule tab and competition calendar of CAAFC web site.
The calendars for 2006 arrived to the club last Friday during the 3rd Friday Foil Fight. Check them out! This year they come in a cool landscape layout instead of the 2005 portrait one.
As of December 1st, the club will no longer be open for free bouting on Thursdays. It will be opened on Thursdays only for clinics and special events as announced. The new club hours are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 6:00-9:30pm Saturday: noon-4:00pm
