This lecture covered the basic of how to identify relevant topics and extract summaries out of a conversation. This lecture is based on the paper “Delineating Topic and Discussant Transitions in Online Collaborative Environments” by Yasui, N.I., Llorà, X., and Goldberg, D.E.. This lecture covered how to visualizes concepts on an ongoing conversation. The lecture was based on the paper about using interactive genetic algorithms to tune the KeyGraph algorithm for a given document. The paper was published in the First European Workshop on Chance Discovery, EWCD 2004 (Valencia, Spain).
